The Eight Ways of Tai Chi 5pm ET The course started on March 13, but you can start whenever you want. Hopefully, the class we keep going after the initial 12 weeks. It will be FUN: Good for anyone, but particularly for people with arthritis or other joint problems that make the tai chi form difficult to do. We'll focus on alignment and the subtle adjustments that can ease joint pain and make movement easier. But this is NOT a class for sedentary people: We will learn to: Row a sampan long distances without tiring...Stand on a steep precipice without fear...Cross a frozen lake safely...Soar like an eagle over awe-inspiring mountains and valleys...Use the moon's gravitational pull to give us effortless balance...Ford a rushing mountain stream stepping from boulder to boulder ...Clean the pollution out of the clouds...Set sail in a junk for parts unknown. The 8 Ways is a series of very simple, easily-learned discrete postures and movements. Ideal for people who want the benefits of tai chi without having to memorize a long series of moves. Date(s): Mondays March 13 - May 29, 2023 Taught by Peter Schwartz |
School of Tai Chi Chuan - Northern Virginia Cost: $250 USD |
