Summer Internship – Social Media Strategy Development
Are you passionate about social media and wellness? The Tai Chi Foundation (TCF) is seeking a Social Media Strategy Summer Intern to enhance our digital presence by integrating TikTok and YouTube into our outreach efforts. This is a unique opportunity to spend about five hours a week for eight to ten weeks shaping the strategy of an international, volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to promoting tai chi and qigong for health and well-being.
What You’ll Do:
- Audit and enhance TCF’s social media presence (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook).
- Research best practices for nonprofits on TikTok and YouTube and create and assist in implementing an integration plan.
- Create content recommendations that showcase tai chi’s benefits and engage new audiences.
- Help develop a sustainable strategy that volunteers can easily implement.
- Provide a framework to measure social media success.
Who You Are:
- A Marketing, Communications, or Digital Media student (or related field).
- Familiar with social media platforms, analytics, and content creation tools.
- Strong English language written and verbal communication skills.
- Skilled in writing, research, and creative storytelling.
- Organized, self-motivated, and excited about health and wellness.
- Big Pluses:
• Experience with nonprofit organizations.
• Basic video editing skills.
• Understanding of social media analytics tools.
• Experience developing training materials or documentation.
