Having practiced Tai Chi Chuan since 1998, I experienced the benefits of the slow rhythmic movements as incredibly grounding and centering. On the other hand, working as an architect and environmental consultant was a source of stress - managing workload, deadlines, fees, clients, etc. One gave me balance, and one unbalanced me.

He then worked as a counsellor in the Netherlands Health Service. Having studied Tai Chi since 1982 and an interest in offering a more holistic form of treatment has led him to study acupuncture in 1994.
